Meetings of Dijla Petroleum Company Shareholders Committee and Board of Directors… DPC’s daily production has reached 21,500 bop/d

Dijla Petroleum Company (DPC) Board of Directors first meeting in 2011 and the Ordinary Meeting of its Shareholders Committee, chaired by Dr. Hassan Zainab, Deputy Minister, were held in DPC’s Damascus Offices on 29.03.2011.

 


Various topics were discussed during both meetings including DPC’s remarkable results in 2010 through achieving an average daily production of 18,330 bop/d which exceeds the plan by 20%, and drilling six (6) appraisal wells in Khurbet east and Al Yousifeh, where production was commenced in four of these wells. Knowing that DPC’s daily production has reached 21,500 bop/d.

The attendees also discussed latest updates on the Central Production Facility project (CPF) with capacity of 33,000 bop/d which is being executed by Saipem Italy, and expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2012. In addition to the current status of production wells, oil production plan, reservoir performance, and 2011-drilling plan.

 

 

It is worth to mention that DPC’s new Chairman, Eng. Shaban Zayak whom will replace Mr. Mouhamad Krasyyem after his retirement also attended both meetings.
It is worth mentioning that the company began official production from the wells dug by Block 26 in north-eastern Syria as of September of the year 2008.
Dijllah Company was established as a joint venture between the General Petroleum Corporation and Gulf Sands Petroleum Co. to drill for oil under a contract for oil exploration, development and production in Block 26.
The company produced about 21 thousand barrels of oil per day from 18 thousand barrels of field Kherbet east while the daily production in the field of Yusufiya 3 thousand barrels, sources of the company indicates that this production can be increased especially with a capacity of production is used in the Youssifiyah Station.
The request of Gulfsands petroleum to enter the second extension of the Initial Exploration Period has been approved. During the two years (24 months “) extension as the date of 21.08.2010, IPR will drill two exploration wells, and spend / 4 / million U.S. dollars.
