Eng. Sufian Allaw Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources discussed with the Polish economic delegation possible aspects of cooperation in the field of oil and gas and refining industry and mineral resources between the two countries.

Allaw overviewed events and activities of the ministry and its institutions in the areas of prospecting and exploration for oil and gas and development of existing fields to increase the profitability
of productivity and the transfer of crude oil in addition to oil refining and washing phosphate pointing to the importance of participation of companies of Poland in the tenders announced by the
Ministry of Oil or one of its companies to supply oil industry equipment.

For his part, Polish delegation noted to the potential of Polish companies in the areas of extraction and production of oil and construction and development of refineries, as well as experience in investment, where shale gas reserves are estimated at this in Poland about 1500 billion cubic feet. Displaying a desire to enter the oil market, especially after the Syrian and the significant improvement witnessed by the investment
climate in Syria in recent years.
