Total E&P Syrie and Kalamoon University signed MoU for Specialized Training Programs for Students of Business, Management and Engineering

Total E&P Syrie and “Total Professeurs Associes” signed a MoU with Kalamoon Private University on 23/1/2011 to provide Specialized Training Programs for Students of Business, Management and Engineering and create future opportunities and horizons for collaboration through hold Symposiums , Conferences and joint projects.
Signing Ceremony was at the presence of Jean-Louis Barjolle, Total E&P Syrie, Managing Director and Asaad Lutfi Kalamoon University President, Eng. Saleem Daaboul Chief of the Board of University and Jean- Pear Cordier “Total Professeurs Associes Chairman and Dr. Firas Qaddour Chairman of the Board of Directors of Deir ez-Zor Petroleum Company.

Jean-Louis Barjolle, Total E&P Syrie, Managing Director talked during the Ceremony about Total’s activities Beyond its exploration and production activities during 2010 where it operates as a responsible citizen through optimizing its contribution to socio-economic development by encouraging programs to promote: education, health, building entrepreneurship capacities and environment, with an
emphasis on supporting education and local skills.
Jean- Pear Cordier “Total Professeurs Associes Chairman said that the association was established on 2001 as a non profit establishment aims to exchange knowledge as a mean for promoting and building among academic field oil industry, both technical and non-technical.
It includes more than 250 experts of professors, and active or retired Total employees specializing in fields of more than 125 science . it provided more than 400 training programs for free offered to more than 110.000 students in 50 countries around the world offers lectures and courses in all fields within the Training to connect Oil and Chemical Industries with Academic ones.
He added that Knowledge is the only source that increases when we collaborate.

For his part Dr. Safwan Jaber chairman of the scientific affairs in the University said that singing the MoU is a fruit of efforts and good intention for developing projects of mutual interest access to knowledge for students through implementing different types of educational projects at different levels to the students of Business and Administration and Engineering Faculties and linking between scientific and technical training for enable them to enter work market and helping them to create jobs meet with the accelerated development in local community .

Goerge Batah a student in Business and Administration Faculty said to Syria Oil .. I participated in the program that was provided by Total for two months course was about negotiation we benefited a lot of it and of the way that provided the knowledge by providing very helpful workshop that gathered between technical and non-technical studies. It was a very good opportunity provided by Total to develop our work skills after graduation .. Total now reopens doors for though the new chance to participate in the course in “Project Management.. thanks to Total and to our University .

Marwa Khabia Marketing Studies in Business and Administration Faculty said that the university collaborate with Total to provide technical and non-technical Trainings that has very good interest in our future.. adding that about negotiation Training was very exciting and important gave us the chance to exchange our opinion with TPA professors. All thanks for Total and Kalamoon University.
Belal Baroudi Student in Business and Administration Faculty for his part said that I want to thank Total and Kalamoon University for this precious chance through this good initiative .. For me as an undergraduate student this course will allow me to do well in my work in Marketing that need negotiation tools with customers.
The Ceremony as well as included offering participation certificates for the students of Business and Administration Faculty for their participation in negotiation course provided by TPA professors in addition to tour in the University.
