Eng. Sufian Allaw Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources toured upon some of Oil exploration and production Operating companies, accompanied by Director General of General Petroleum Corporation Eng. Ali Abbas in which he was briefed on the plans, programs and activities of these companies.

Eng. Allaw said “We have a lot of jointly work with foreign companies that do business prospecting, exploration and oil production through nine companies ranging from AFPC «Shell» and its partners and the company of Deir Ezzor with «Total» and the company «Hayan» with “Inna” These companies are the oil-producers , as well as companies that had acquired exploration concessions in many locations in Syria .

He added: through this visit,we had a follow-up briefing and review of plans and access to programs and activities of companies and look at the difficulties and obstacles that could hinder the company’s business, if any, to overcome. ‏

the Minister visited also many companies including «Tat Neft “which began oil production in Abu Kamal and company Moreland Chrome that work of prospecting and exploration in al-Asi field of and the company « Latakia –Lawn » which explores in Block 9 / in ninth region .Lawn company submit to the recent tender for exploration in three blocks.
