Syria has produced 140 million barrels of oil in 2010 at 386 thousand barrels per day with 9407 barrels per day increase for the year 2009

Syria has produced 140.931 million barrels of light and condensate and heavy oil during 2010 with implementation rate of 105 percent or the rate of 386 thousand barrels per day, with an increase of 9407 barrels per day from 2009.

 

 

data obtained by institution of the oil during the meeting that reviewed the follow up the plans production for the oil ministry, confirmed that the share of national companies (SPC – SGC) of the total production of Syrian oil amounted to 52 / / percent with the production of 73.759 million barrels, while the total production of companies operating in Syria 67 172 million barrels by /al-Furat, Deir Ezzor , Awdeh ,Kawkab , Hayyan, Dijlah , Abu Kamal and Petro-Canada / Companies

 

The total oil Delivered to Syrian Company for Oil Transport 140.259 million barrels, of which 56.096 million barrels of light and 84.163 million barrels of heavy oil, delivered in turn 42.511 million barrels of heavy oil and 42.609 million barrels of light oil to Homs and Banias refineries in the export of 75.358 million barrels of oil heavy and light.

 

As for the gas, the total free gas and utilities produced in Syria is 10.067 billion cubic meters with daily average of 27.5 million cubic meters, 9.396 billion cubic meters of it were handed to gas processing plants in Syria, where 8.939 billion cubic meters of clean gas and were produced 679 million cubic meters were imported from Egypt , $ 7.634 billion cubic meters of gas available to consumers of has distributed to the ministries of electricity at 6.704 billion cubic meters by 65 percent and with daily average of 18 million cubic meters, and the industry average of 431 million cubic meters of oil and 496 million cubic meters.

 

Eng. Sufian Allaw Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources stressed during the meeting on the need to pay increasing attention to the process of training and rehabilitation as one of the pillars of development and the only way to improve the quality and expertise of human resources and the promotion of the production process, pointed out to the need to identify business requirements and develop training programs in line with the needs of each institution so as to achieve training objectives and desired results, which show through increased worker productivity and the advancement of the level of performance, management and investment technology and techniques to optimize as well as reduce losses and wastage.

 

The Minister stressed as well as on the importance of safety and the need to give the necessary attention to this issue through the creation of the security services and occupational safety and give them an important aspect in every business so that they can improve the foundations of safety standards that ensure safety of employees and create a safe working environment is stable.

 

He noted to the importance of preparing a manual of assets contains descriptions of the machines, laboratories, instrumentation and advanced equipment maintenance and distributed to all the companies in order to ensure the exploitation of these resources to the maximum extent possible, pointing to the need to lift the pace of work to reach the rate of implementation in accordance with the plans and contributing to increased productivity and improved performance .

 

The meeting as well as focused on the creation of professional high schools in the new oil fields Aljbesah and Deir Ezzor, and Banias refinery and the phosphate mines were also discussed increasing technological institutes to absorb the oil, gas and ways of cooperation with the Universities of al-Furat and Baath to train engineers of petroleum engineering schools.
