The Minister of oil and Mineral Resources Eng. Sufian Allaw circular based on the Book of the Prime Minister requested from all institutions of the ministry not to raise any request for extension of the working class of the second or third or fourth or fifth.
the circular asked that extension requests are only for workers from the first category if the necessities of the work requires the extension.
about 47.000 workers in the Ministry of Oil of whom 11.000 workers in the first category and 14000 workers in the second category and 784 workers in the third category and 16000 workers in the fourth and 5496 in the fifth category.
the annual leakage is estimated by about 1000 workers, Oil Ministry plan focuses to absorb need of new projects and through:
Employing petroleum engineering graduates at the University of al- Baath and al-Furat , and other engineering colleges, as is sort of about 300 engineers annually.
Employing graduates of institutes of the Ministry of Oil / Institute of Homs – Rmelan Institute – Institute of Deir ez Zor / and the expected number of 350 graduates are screened to work sites.
Graduates of high schools in oil from Homs and Rmelan, where they are accepted 120 in in Homs and 50 secondary students in secondary Rmelan. Achievers where given preference in recruitment to the oil companies.
The Ministry of Oil has made huge efforts and distinguished career in the field of training and rehabilitation where it is subjected technicians newly appointed to long-term courses for a year in a training centers affiliated to the ministry, namely: the National Centre for Training in Alfrekls and training center field Roses in Deir Al-Zour and Training Center Deir Al-Zour and vocational training center for the oil industry in Rmelan.
As for the workers on the job are subject to the short courses are implemented in cooperation and coordination with a number of ministries, institutes and bodies of the state.
