Arabic Economic report… Syria’s oil exports fell by about $ 2.5 billion, and reserves stay the same

Arab economic report revealed that the value of exports of crude oil in Syria during the year 2009 declined by about $ 2.5 billion for the value of exports recorded in 2008.

 

 

Arab Economic Report for the year 2010 and issued recently estimated that the value of exports of crude oil in Syria during the year 2009 amounted to 5.414 billion dollars, while it was in the year 2008 of about 7.989 billion dollars.

 

And according to the data published in the report, the Syrian exports of crude oil which comprised 1.4% of total exports to Arab countries in 2009 and at current prices.

 

The report adds that the volume of Syrian production of oil amounted in 2009 to 376 thousand barrels per day, down 3.59% compared to the volume of production recorded in 2008, and thus constitutes the Syrian production of oil rate of 1.7% of the total production of Arab States in 2009, and which witnessed a decline of 5.33% for the year 2008.

 

With regards to the Syrian oil reserves, the report points to Syria’s reserves at the end of the year 2009 amounted to about 2.25 billion barrels, and is the number that have maintained it reserves the Syrian since 2007, as he was in 2005 and 2006, about 3 billion barrels …

 

Thus, the Syrian oil reserves are accounted for 0.33% of the total Arab oil reserves at the end of the year 2009 amounting to 680.94 billion barrels.
