Al-Furat Petroleum Corporation Produced more than 99 thousand barrels of oil per day during the year 2010 with an increase of 9 thousand barrels per day for a planned and added more than 10 million barrels of recoverable reserves and compensate more than 90 percent of the oil produced in past four years through the intensification of efforts in the field of earth sciences and petroleum engineering.

 

 

Eng. Sufian Allaw Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, thanks all employees in the company for their efforts which led to the achievement of these results and wished the company and its staff further progress and success.

 

Saeed Heneidi the company’s chairman said that the Directorate of fields Operations achieved over the last year, operation rates for production facilities exceeded 99 percent in addition to carrying out the largest off programmer of the installations of the fields since the establishment of the company where the implementation of all amendment Planned ensure functioning safe and high reliability in the company’s operations for the coming years.

 

On training and rehabilitation Heneidi pointed that the company has implemented special program to train new graduates were trained more than 400 engineers and technicians in the past four years, 188 of them took their actual work and have demonstrated competence and professionalism required in addition to that the company is managed in accordance with the requirements and the actual needs of the work of reducing the costs of external and internal training of 3.8 million dollars in 2006 to 3.1 million dollars in 2010.

 

Heneidi pointed out that AFPC has been able for the first time since its creation to achieve at the end of last year 20 million working hours, or about 500 days safe and free of accidents as well as reducing the Kilometers distance to the minimum necessary for the conduct of operations where the percentage reduction to 40 percent as throughout the year without any deterioration of the accident.

 

He pointed out that the company celebrated in 2010, over 25 years of its establishment which aspires to twenty-five more years of production, development and management of its operations in accordance with the criteria which will ensure survival of a leading company in the region and the world.

 

He said that achievements made by the AFPC was the result of concerted efforts of our staff national at all levels and the efforts of our partners in Shell, who contributing to supply the company with the knowledge and value-added and transporting the fruit of their experience to the World our staff of national opting for the latest technology and modern techniques.

 

AFPC was established in 1985, a joint venture between the General Petroleum Corporation and Shell and Indian and Chinese Bergomo company and CNPC of China, which is responsible for a high proportion of the total oil production in Syria.
