Allaw hopes increasing the volume of exports of Egyptian gas to Syria and reveals the launch of new four areas to explore for oil and gas in Syria to international companies in next January

Oil minister Eng Sufian Allaw hoped to increase the volume of cooperation between Syria and Egypt in the field of gas and increase the volume of exports of Egyptian gas to Syria via the Arab gas pipeline according to the possibilities available in the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation.
oil minister, told reporters on the sidelines of the 85th Ministerial Conference of the eighty-Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries, “OAPEC”, held in Cairo on Saturday the results of the conference, stressing that Arab companies emanating from “OAPEC” were able to achieve significant results at the level of integration and cooperation in various fields of oil industry.

Allaw said that the global financial crisis left a negative impact on the oil and petrochemical industries , especially in Arab countries But he stressed that the Arab states began to circumvent the crisis and that the wheel projects in the Arab oil industry will start strongly in the coming period.
He revealed that Oil Ministry will put in January next four new concession areas for exploration and prospecting for oil and gas in Syria to international firms.
