Oil Minister discuss with the Azerbaijani Ambassador gas import from Azerbaijan

Eng.Sufian Alao Minister of Oil and Mineral resources discussed with Mr.Maher Aliyev Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Damascus relations of cooperation between the two countries in oil and gas area .

The discussion focused on the possibilities of importing gas from Azerbaijan across the Turkish network, based on an earlier request made by the Ministry of Oil in Syria to the Ministry of Industry and gas in Azerbaijan, where Aliyev pointed out that Azerbaijan welcomes this cooperation and will work to meet demand after the completion of gas networks from Turkey to Syria.
Both parts discussed as well as the experience of the two countries in the field of exploration and prospecting for oil in preparation for cooperation in this area, especially in the field of exploration and prospecting in the sea, where Azerbaijan has good experience and accumulated more than one hundred years in the field of oil production.
