French Senate delegation headed by Philippe Marini Chairman of the Committee for Friendship Visited Syrian French company in the fields of Deir Al-Zour and Total oil production site in French Jeffrey briefed on the station and sections of the work.

The Director of Field Operations Eng. Abdul Latif Al Hammadi gave detailed explanation on the location of the company and organizational structure and accomplished since the signing of a contract to cooperate with the company TotalFinaElf referring to the company’s commitment to the terms of health and environmental safety and production processes to the ongoing and future projects planned.
Marini confirmed in a statement to SANA’s correspondent importance of Syrian cooperation in the area of the French oil production and economic cooperation and investment based alluding to the possibility of establishing industrial and financial investments between the two sides.
Marini said that the visit of French President Nicolas Sarkozy to Syria in September next month will open new prospects for economic cooperation emphasizing that increasing the volume of economic cooperation and investment between the two countries will contribute in pushing forward the historical relations in all areas.
