Dardari and Mornej underline the importance of cooperation in energy and gas

The Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Abdullah Dardari during his reception of Mr. Andre Mornej Secretary-General of the Energy Charter Treaty and the his delegation the importance of activating and strengthening cooperation relations between the two sides by establishing joint ventures and rehabilitation operations, training and exchange of technologies and expertise.
And Dardari briefed to Mornej the outcome of the symposium brought by the Energy Charter Secretariat in cooperation with the European Commission in Damascus on the development of hydrocarbons and transported across the border and its role in activating cooperation relations.
Dardari stressed the importance of this symposium pointing to a number of important developmental projects to optimize the use of indigenous energy sources, especially natural gas in addition to strengthening European Syrian relations, particularly in the areas of energy and gas.
For his part, Mr. Mornej across the desire of the Secretariat establish a special relationship with Syria because of its location and advanced economy and to achieve integration in the gas markets in each of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq and Syria.
