BIDAYA and Intilaaqah – Syria program (Syria Shell Company) signs a memorandum of agreement to support entrepreneurs

Within their ongoing quest to support the Syrian youth in the process of development and innovation, BIDAYA signed an MoU with Intilaaqah – Syria (Syria Shell Petroleum Development Company) in order to achieve their aims to support young Syrian entrepreneurs.
BIDAYA seeks to catalyze entrepreneurship for motivated, self-starting small businessmen and women in Syria. BIDAYA must therefore attract young people who have sound business ideas and sufficient personal qualities, experience and evidence of abilities to succeed. So BIDAYA aims to provide entrepreneurs with financial and technical support by linking them to volunteer mentors who will provide ongoing business assistance and advice for the life of the loan.

Intilaaqah-Syria program is a Shell sponsored initiative aiming to support and help young Syrian Nationals who are interested in starting their own business, by providing them with technical assistance and help that could help them to start their own business.

Intilaaqah -Syria program provides specialized training programs to help young entrepreneurs establish and manage their own business. Awareness sessions about the importance of entrepreneurship and self-employment. Advisory services to young entrepreneurs and provides access to “Intilaaqah Annual Local and International Awards”.

Through this MoU Intilaaqah Syria will nominate to BIDAYA selected young and qualified entrepreneurs, graduates of Intilaaqah training courses, who are interested in establishing their own businesses. BIDAYA will support the nominated entrepreneurs financially without any interests in addition to match each one with a mentor/advisor involved in some aspect of business management i.e. marketing, accounting or human relations in Damascus and Deir Ezzor.
Intilaaqah Syria is based on the Shell LiveWIRE Program, an international initiative developed by Shell and run in over 20 countries throughout the world. LiveWIRE is currently available in over 12 languages and is accessed through workshops and training, the Internet.
