On the sidelines of a symposium on the global financial crisis and its repercussions on the oil and gas sectors, Minister Allaw said in a statement to Journalists that the stability witnessed by the current prices of oil encourages the investors to carry out more projects and the consumers not to search for alternative resources of energy.

He indicated that several projects are being implemented in the domain of gas and oil regional linking through the Arab Gas Pipeline which connects Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt.

He stressed that the Arab Gas Pipeline will be connected with the Turkish gas network in March 2011 and it will be also connected with the European gas network next year.
