Alao: International companies want to buy Syrian coke

Eng. Sufian Alao minister of oil and mineral resources said that some international companies want to buy Syrian petroleum Coke that will be produced by the new refineries .

French La varge company and Turkish Gurich company are of those companies and want to establish Cement Factory in Reqa province . these companies offered to put study on development of governmental cement factories and using coke in the new refinery .
These matters were discussed during the Refinery commission meeting which was recently held in the ministry of oil and mineral resources that discussed the new refineries.

. He added: that the Bahraini company “Alba would also like to sign the Convention for the purchase of long-term quantity of 300 thousand tons of coal sulfur content higher than 7% or 500 thousand tons annually sulphur content of less than 7%.
He pointed out that in light of rising global energy prices are pregnant it is expected that there is no problem in the use and marketing of high-sulphur coke, stressing that take interest in studies into the environmental group first class.
