Russia, Turkmenistan launch new gas pipeline

A new gas pipeline between Russia and Turkmenistan has been brought into operation.
It will pump natural gas from the Darwaza cluster of gas fields in Turkmenistan into the Central Asia-Center trunk pipeline, bringing the annual Turkmen gas supplies to Russia up to 5 billion cubic meters.
Russia’s Gazprom buys about 10 billion cbm of Turkmen gas per year
