Otri to open Thursday the National Training Center in Homs and visit the Hayyan gas plant project near Palmyra

Prime Minister Eng.Mohammad Naji Otri, on Thursday, 10/07 launched the National Training Centre in Alfrekls in Homs governorate, which was built in cooperation between the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Petrofac International company .
The Centre aims to train and qualify the staff of maintenance and operation of new graduates (engineers – technicians) for staff with high efficiency to work in gas plants and refineries and oil installations to meet the needs of the oil industry and gas and new projects coming and which are required elements able to use modern technology.
Otri will also visit the Hayyan gas plant project near Palmyra, a joint venture between the General Petroleum Corporation, INA Nafta Croatian where is currently the developing of gas discoveries and oil achieved by the company INA Nafta in the fields of Jahar, Muher , and al-Jazal and Mzaror through the establishment of a system for processing natural gas product at the site of Jahar and linking these fields the system is a collection of productive wells to the stations, collection and separation of gas in the al-Jahar, Muher , and on to the processing units at the plant at the site of Jahar (Hayyan Gas Plant).. It is also being planned to build the new compilation of gas in the field of Mzaror.
Petrofac implement the project which recently ended the completion of the mechanical draft is expected that the project will be put in operating the service with the beginning of 2011.
