Iranian Minister: Syria, Iran, Iraq and Lebanon to hold quadripartite meeting on exporting natural gas

Iranian Oil Minister Masoud Mir-Kazzemi announced that Tehran is scheduled to host a quadrilateral meeting on gas exports in the near future to be attended by reprsentatives from Iran, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon.
Lebanon is very much interested in purchase of Iran’s oil products, Mir-Kazzemi said, adding that the country is in need of the Iranian experts’ know-how on construction of oil refineries.
He also said that Iran and Lebanon reached agreement on further expansion of bilateral energy cooperation.
Talking to reporters, he said during his meeting with Lebanese Minister of Energy and Water Gibran Bassil, the two sides decided to cooperate in the areas of oil and gas exploitation and construction of oil refineries.
During the meeting, the Lebanese minister voiced his country’s readiness to make use of Iran’s valuable experiences in the area of oil products.
Beirut is eager to have close cooperation with Tehran in the areas of laying gas pipelines and constructing oil refineries, Bassil added.
