Alhamad is the new director-general of the Syrian Oil Company

Prime minister Muhammad Naji Etri issued resolution no. / 2203 / Date 28/5/2008 nominating Mr. Omar Al-Hamad as a Director General of Syrian Oil Company .

Alhamad has been charged with facilitating matters of the company more than a year ago, succeeding Dr. Ahmed Moalla , which in turn assigned as the President Board of Directors of Kawakab oil Company .
Alhamad is one of competencies known in the oil sector in Syria, which has worked with sincerity and devotion
Omar Al hamad’s Biography
– Has a certificate of the Higher Institute of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering.
– Started work in the Syrian Oil Company on 9/10/1978.
– head of the production gypsum resolution No. / 411 / Date 24/3/1985.
– He was assigned head of the Engineering Department at the Directorate of free gas gypsum resolution / 1165 / Date 6/11/1988.
– Commissioned associate director for the free gas gypsum and his representative in his absence in addition to continuing legal Engineering Service under the chairmanship of the resolution / 446 / Date 25/3/1989.
– Then he was assigned to the associate director of Hasakah fields for the resolution of Petroleum Engineering / 1339 / Date 6/8/1991.
– Entrusted with the tasks of the Director of the Directorate of gypsum fields Ministerial Resolution No. / 726 / Date 4/9/1995.
– Commissioned associate of the Director-General to the Syrian Oil Company and on his behalf in his absence and the absence legally entrusted with the Director of the Directorate of Technical Affairs resolution No. / 544 / Date 12/5/1997
– He was allocated as President of the Board of Directors of Deir Al-Zour oil-time member assigned writers No. / 133 / T o date of 19/1/2003.
– Charged with facilitating the public administration of the company Ministerial Resolution No. / 1047 / Date 13/12/2006.
– A decision by the prime minister No. / 2203 / Date 28/5/2008 containing attribution to the post of Director General of Syrian Oil Company.
