Shell Syria Celebrates Shell Safety Day 2011
As part of celebrating the Safety Day at Shell around the world, Shell Syria celebrated on 8 June 2011, The Country Chair of Shell Syria Petroleum Development B.V. Mr. Graham Henley started the day by emphasizing on Shell Safety principles and the significance of adherence to the safety standards at work and daily life, and to ensure adopting the best practices to secure the safe working conditions at all times for staff and contractors.
Syrian ِAssociation for Occupational Safety hosted Training for risk assessment in 1 to 2 June 2011 in the Associations Training building . The course aims to give workers the skills needed to assess the risks within the workplace and give them a Level 1 Certificate in risk assessment of the Syrian Society for the protection of a professional.
Prime Minister, Adel Safar, and Director of the Middle East Region at Total Company for Oil Exploration and Production, Arnaud Breuillac , on Tuesday discussed prospects of cooperation, stressing the importance of establishing long-term partnership between Total and the Syrian oil companies.
IPRMEL company began drilling exploration new well named Alchgeri 1 in Block 24 of Deir Ezzor province in an area of 3853 km 2 located to the west of Deir Ezzor by about 60 km and drilling in the eastern slope of Mount Alchgeri.

HBS Tunisian Company won the exploration for oil and gas in block No. 7 / /, after completing the General Petroleum Corporation the study and evaluation of the offers of international companies developed for this block which covers an area about 6500 km 2 located in the eastern part of Syria within the territory of the provinces of Hasaka, Deir Ezzor and adjacent to the borders of Iraq.
