ABU DHABI, Nov 4 (Reuters) – French energy companies, such as Total (TOTF.PA) and Air Liquide AIR.PA, are bidding for contracts and could invest in a new $15 billion carbon-neutral city in Abu Dhabi, France’s foreign trade minister said.
With the participation of 35 employees of the various national companies operating in the oil and gas and the Ministry of Environment and various sectors responsible for national contingency plan, Dr. Hassan Zeinab, Deputy Minister of Oil inaugurated the workshop “Responding to oil leak at sea” set up by Syria Shell in cooperation with the Ministry of oil and mineral Resources in Banias.
Premier Eng. Mohammed Naji Ottri discussed with Ladislas Paszkiewicz President Middle East Total E&P cooperation horizons between Total and Syrian Oil and Gas Companies in Exploration and Producing areas and developing some fields , training programs and experience exchange.
In cooperation with Total E&P Syrie, Syria Shell, al-Furat and Deir al-zour oil companies ,al-Qunaitra Province held a festival on the occasion of Arab Environment Day with slogan ” Education.. for Sustainable development ” and Opening of “Environment for everyone ” Park with participating of official activities ,Bodies, Organizations and Civil Societies.
Gulfsands Petroleum Company announced that the oil and gas production exploration and development company with activities in Syria at Block 26, Syria Khurbet East in July 2008 has now passed 4 million barrels of oil a year.
AFPC made an honoring ceremony for graduated of the first batch of engineers trained in al-Warda Center for Rehabilitation and Training in Deir al-Zour.
