RESPONSIBILITIES & Main Duties

• To supervise and participate in the installation, repair and maintenance of all electrical equipment and related electrical elements of mechanical equipment located on the assigned jack-up off-shore Rig, covering AC distribution power and lighting systems, DC electric drive systems, control board, switch-gear assembly, SCR equipment, drilling instrument and control. To implement and follow up on preventive maintenance programmed and affect breakdown repairs as required.
WORK PERFORMED

1- Supervises assigned company and contract personnel engaged in Electrical maintenance and repair work on the assign Rigs.
2- Responds to and investigate breakdowns, delegates work where possible
3- Follows up preventive maintenance schedules to ensure adequate performance of equipment
4- Participates in the installation of new equipment to ensure provision of adequate power to required locations
5- Assesses repairs required to all equipment and components
6- Participates in rig move activates by checking electrical items as per Rig move preparation list
7- Participates with managers (Rig) B. Capt. And driller when shutting down of equipment is necessary, for safety reason
